FAQ

Find answers to common questions about our services and what to expect during your visit.

How quickly can I get in to see the doctor?

We aim to see all our patients as quickly as possible, typically within 4 weeks. If your case is urgent, we will find a space to see you as soon as possible.

How much are the appointments and why?

Initial appointments are $300, and follow-up appointments are $150. These prices are based on the Australian Medical Association recommendations for ENT and reflect the time and expertise involved. Medicare offers a rebate, which we assist you with at the end of your appointment. Please contact our clinic if you need to discuss appointments and costs.

What is the Medicare rebate for appointments?

Generally, you receive around $84 back on the initial appointment and $42 back on the follow-up appointment. This can vary depending on your Medicare usage throughout the year; some patients may receive a larger rebate if they have seen many different doctors.

How long does a referral last?

Referrals last for one year, and you will need a new referral each year.

Can I claim the appointment on private healthcare?

No, as the appointments are Medicare-rebated, they cannot be claimed on private healthcare. However, private operations can be claimed.

Do you accept pension cards and concession cards?

Unfortunately, we do not accept these at this time.

Do you see children?

Yes, we see both adults and children, including babies and children of all ages.
